What is the commission?
When a student books a lesson through MusicStudio, the platform takes a commission from the lesson fee. This commission covers the cost of running the platform — including payment processing, the booking system, student acquisition, customer support, and ongoing development.
Your earnings
Your earnings from each lesson are the lesson price minus the commission. You can see earnings information for each booking in your teacher account.
Commission rate
The commission rate is not a fixed single percentage — it may vary depending on factors such as whether it is a student's first lesson with you. The applicable rate for each booking is visible in your account. For the specific rates that apply to you, see your teacher agreement or contact support.
When is commission applied?
Commission is deducted from the lesson fee at the time the booking is paid. You do not need to calculate or pay it separately — it is handled automatically by the platform before your earnings are credited.
