Setting your price
You have full control over your lesson price. You set it in the Pricing tab of your teacher profile — either during the onboarding wizard or at any time via the Profile section of your dashboard.
What the price represents
Your price is your rate for a standard 50-minute lesson. This is the amount students see on your profile when they consider booking a regular lesson with you. It must be between €10 and €500 (Teacher Agreement clause 4.1).
Lesson lengths and intro lesson pricing
Students can book 50 minutes at your price, or 25 minutes at half of it. Your intro lesson price is calculated automatically — you do not set it manually. It is a 25-minute lesson at half your normal 25-minute rate (for a €45 teacher, €11.25), offered once to each new student. You do not need to do anything to configure this.
Rounded prices
Where your price is just above a round figure, students may see it rounded down to the nearest .99 — never more than 3% lower (for example €45 shown as €44.99). MusicStudio pays that difference out of its commission. Your earnings are always worked out on your own price (Teacher Agreement clause 4.1A).
What to charge
Consider your years of teaching experience, your qualifications, the instrument you teach, and what comparable teachers on the platform charge. A price that reflects your experience and the local market will attract the right students.
Changing your price
You can update your price at any time from your profile settings. Price changes take effect on new bookings only — any lessons already booked will be charged at the price that was in effect when they were booked.
