Multi-currency support
MusicStudio supports multiple currencies so that students from different countries can see prices in a familiar format. Supported currencies include EUR, GBP, USD, AUD, CAD, CHF, and NZD.
Automatic currency detection
When you first visit MusicStudio, the site will attempt to detect your location and set a suitable currency automatically. You will see lesson prices displayed in that currency throughout the site.
Changing your currency
Before you sign up, you can choose the currency prices are shown in using the currency selector in the website footer. Your account then has one currency, set when you sign up, and you are always charged in it. If you need it changed, please contact us and we will check whether it is possible.
Exchange rates
Prices are converted from the teacher's base currency using regularly updated exchange rates sourced from the European Central Bank. The rate used at checkout is the rate in effect at the time of booking.
Cross-currency charge
Each teacher sets their price in their own currency. If you pay in a different currency from your teacher's, a cross-currency charge is added. The prices you see on MusicStudio already include it, and the booking summary shows it on its own line before you pay. MusicStudio keeps this charge — it is not part of your teacher's fee, and your teacher is paid the same amount whichever currency you pay in. Paying in your teacher's currency carries no charge.
You are charged in your account's currency
When you complete a booking, you are charged in your account's currency. The exact amount is shown at checkout before you confirm payment. No currency conversion is applied after checkout.
